The most advanced capsule pacemaker therapy (AVEIR) that can control slow heartbeats in the human body without the need for surgery or other incisions.
Unlike other conventional pacemakers and capsule pacemakers (MICRA), this latest capsule pacemaker (AVEIR) is packed with many features.
If the battery capacity of capsule pacemakers till now was 8 years, this one will get a battery capacity of twenty years. Moreover, it can be taken back if we don't need it after a few years and this pacemaker, which is currently implanted as a single chamber, can be upgraded as a dual chamber in the future.
This treatment was successfully completed in a 75-year-old man from Kozhikode for the first time in South India under the supervision of Dr. Arun Gopi, Senior Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at MetroMed International Cardiac Center.
