Atrial fibrillation is a major heart rhythm disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is a condition in which the upper chambers of the heart beat rapidly and irregularly. Symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, and can lead to serious complications such as stroke and cardiac arrest. Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) is one of the most advanced treatment methods in cardiology for treating heart rhythm disorders. This treatment was successfully completed for the first time in India under the supervision of Dr. Arun Gopi, Senior Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at Metromed International Cardiac Center, Kozhikode. Dr. Muhammed Mustafa, Chairman of Metromed Hospital, stated that this revolutionary treatment marks a new milestone in cardiac care.
